Views to a Thrill
Autumn is easily one of the best times to visit New Hampshire, as the changing colors of the foliage make for some truly breathtaking landscapes, especially when viewed from some of the tallest mountains in New England. Ride the world's first steep Cog Railway to the top of Mount Washington for a view that spans four states, or take North America's first aerial tramway to the summit of Franconia Notch, where you can see mountains in Vermont, New York, and even Canada.
Mountains in White
One of the best ways to see the beauty of New Hampshire is the Kancamagus Highway, a winding two-lane road that climbs over the spine of the White Mountains. While beautiful in fall, the mountains are also a tremendous draw for skiers during the winter months.
New Hampshire has no sales or income tax, which makes it a great place to shop. It's also famous as a destination for antiquers, who explore the hundreds of shops on Route 4, or “Antique Alley,” hunting for treasures.
With its abundant natural beauty, friendly people, and old world charm, it's easy to see why New Hampshire is a destination our nurses adore.
